Clean up, split, and screen any track
The Audio Workshop lets you denoise, run AI stem separation, and copyright-check any track right in your browser — no plugin, no software, no hardware. Upload a file and get studio-quality stems back, clean up a noisy recording, or screen a finished mix against 150M+ recordings before you release it.
How it works
- Upload. Drop in MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG up to 200MB — as many tracks as you like.
- Pick a tool. Separate stems, chop a region, or run a copyright check; toggle denoise first for vintage audio.
- Download. Grab every stem and file in the format you want, or keep building on Selekt in Stem Lab and the Drum Kit.
Common use cases
- Pull an acapella or instrumental. Isolate the vocal, or mute it for a ready-made instrumental.
- Sample a single part. Lift just the bassline, the piano, or the drums from any track.
- Restore old recordings. Denoise a vintage or noisy file before separating it.
- Clear-check before release. Screen a finished mix and keep the signed Screening Report as evidence.
- Feed your DAW. Download isolated stems and drag them straight into your project.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Audio Workshop?
The Workshop is a browser studio for working with any track: clean it up, split it, and screen it. Upload a file and you can run AI stem separation (up to 16 isolated stems plus a deep drum split), denoise older or noisy recordings, chop a region, and copyright-check the whole track against 150M+ recordings — no plugin and no software to install.
How does AI stem separation work here?
Drop in an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG up to 200MB and our separation engine isolates the parts — vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, woodwinds, and more — running on GPUs and streaming the finished stems back to your browser. Step up to Complete for MIDI, editable MusicXML notation, a chord chart, and key & BPM on top of the stems.
What does the copyright check do?
Music recognition is provided by ACRCloud, whose reference catalog contains 150M+ recordings. Selekt checks the whole track in back-to-back windows, maps every detected match to the timeline, enriches the result, and produces a signed Screening Report (PDF) with a public verification link. It's strong screening evidence, not a legal clearance opinion.
Is my audio kept private?
Yes. Uploads are processed on isolated, secure instances and stay private to your account. Stem-separation result files are auto-deleted after 48 hours. Selekt does not listen to your audio, grants no rights to what you upload, and makes no copyright claims about it.
Do the Workshop tools cost anything?
Chop is free with no credits. Stem separation and copyright checks run fresh compute on your upload, so they're pay-as-you-go with credits (1 credit = $1) — you always see the exact cost and your balance before anything runs. Early Access includes a monthly credit allowance. Browsing and downloading the catalog never costs credits.
