Producers can dig, chop, and build. Composers and game developers can find textures, atmospheres, and spoken moments. Podcasters and video creators can clean recordings and investigate soundtrack choices. You bring the project; Selekt gives you more places to take it.
Is Selekt a sample library or a collection of tools?
Both, in one connected workspace. A source-documented catalog of loops, samples, available stems, and sound effects sits alongside 28 live tools and workflows. One membership includes catalog download and processing-credit allowances; you do not need a separate Selekt subscription for each tool.
Does one membership mean unlimited downloads and processing?
No. Current Early Access is $5/month or $50/year. New paid memberships include 50 distinct catalog downloads per month. The monthly plan includes 15 processing credits each billing cycle; annual credit timing differs. Free utilities remain free. Check Pricing for current allowances, annual details, and optional credit packs before subscribing.
What does “screened catalog” mean?
Catalog sounds come from named public-domain, CC0, and CC BY sources. Selekt records the source, license, and the clearance-screening path used. Fingerprint-screened material is withheld if a match is returned at any confidence level; qualifying public-domain collections can follow a documented source-authority path. Each eligible catalog download includes verifiable evidence. Screening and certificates are not a legal guarantee, and CC BY attribution requirements still apply.
Do I need to learn the whole workspace first?
No. Start with one useful job. You can audition sounds, try demos, and explore free utilities before choosing a membership. Return when another project calls for a different tool. Supported handoffs can carry a result to another workflow; some combinations still require a download and upload.
